Event Massage Contact Form

The body is each of our own slice of Mother Earth’s vast wilderness. My hands-on bodywork practice is an act of reverent service, and is intuitive, contactful, attuned, and loving. My intention is to nurture the innate healing capacity of the body-mind-spirit, and to help facilitate inner reconnection and aliveness. Deep restoration and re-invigoration is possible even in small doses!

Why Event Massage?

Tense body = tense mind! Even and especially for people in demanding jobs – bodily wellness is not a luxury but a necessity. I love helping bring ease to tense bodies and creating space amidst busy-ness and stress for more happiness, wellbeing, and creativity. For busy professionals, chair massage provided at the place of work can be a life changing gift. For employers, this is a way to stand out as well as to help ensure employee wellness and satisfaction – not to mention higher quality work!

Background

Bodywork is a career pivot for me, grown out of years of embodiment practices. My first serious professional path was in technology: I studied Computer Science at Duke University, became a software engineer and then a software engineering manager. My mind had an aptitude for the complex problem-solving required for that line of work and enjoyed collaborating with others, but my heart and body have always felt called back to Nature, Wildness and the exquisitely soulful and life-affirming path of attuned embodiment and healing.

For many years some of the greatest joys of my life have come through visceral bodily experiences: summiting mountains, dancing, gardening, and expanding my strength, mobility, and inner awareness through yoga and other movement practices. So many beautiful experiences of life are simple and completely dependent on a well-connected and healthy body: even just taking a full deep breath. Indeed, even our mental and emotional experiences are innately interwoven with our bodily experience. The body is “the temple of the soul”.

When I worked in mentally demanding roles, I excelled to the degree that I took excellent care of myself – and that seemed like a difficult battle to win! Now I am on a mission to help more people find genuine wellbeing and balance, no matter how challenging and stressful their lives are now.
